The Effect Of Compensation, Motivation And Work Discipline On Employee Performance At ABC Gas Station In Batam
Abstract
The gas station business is a business known as the anti-loss business and is an important sector in other business mobility. Gas stations provide fuel oil (BBM) for transportation services which are widely used to support community activities. In order to maintain the existence of 24-hour gas station services, companies need to improve human resources through fulfilling employee rights and obligations such as providing compensation, motivation and work discipline. Based on this background, the objectives of this study are: (1) to determine the effect of compensation on employee performance; (2) to determine the effect of motivation on employee performance; (3) to determine the effect of discipline on employee performance; and (4) to determine the effect of compensation, motivation and work discipline on employee performance at the ABC gas station in Batam. This research is a quantitative research, in which the primary data sources were obtained from the results of questionnaires (Linkert scale) and observations. The sample in this study amounted to 30 respondents obtained through total sampling technique. The results of this study conclude that: (1) Compensation has a significant effect on employee performance, low compensation means low employee performance; (2) Motivation has a significant effect on employee performance, the higher the motivation, the higher the employee performance; (3) Work Discipline has a significant effect on employee performance, the higher the work discipline, the higher the employee performance; and (4) Compensation, motivation and work discipline simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance. That is, the higher the Compensation, Motivation and Work Discipline, the higher the performance of the ABC gas station employees in Batam with an influence percentage of 68.8%.
